This is a setting of a poem by Russian poet Lyudmyla Khersonska, as translated by Katherine E. Young in Words for War, which refers to the current Ukrainian conflict. Soprano Sarah DeYoung, Pianist Paul Floyd and Cellist Julian Casas performed this World Premiere at a concert at Portland State University in 2024. Ms. DeYoung commissioned this work.  Duration: 6:00
